Tomorrow night, some contributors to the blog are throwing the first MPM show in Bloomington, IN.
This jig has been a while in the making, and we’re really excited to be throwing it. On the line-up, we’ve got the Minneapolis Henrys from Chicago, IL. I got the opportunity to see them up in the Chi last Friday, and I’m looking forward to them bringing their energy to Bloomington. Follow the link to their MySpace and listen to their stuff. They just released an album which they should be selling at the show.
The Dirty Diamonds will be doing up the show too. Really stoked to have them down here… plus they’re something new and different. You can still get their album at their MySpace. Here’s one of my favorites in the event you don’t want to follow that link (but why wouldn’t you?)

U.K. band “The Duke Spirit” made a stop in Indianapolis @ Radio Radio in Fountain Square. Many of us were eager to see The Duke Spirit, I even met someone who has already seen then six times previously. Vocalist Liela was sick that day, revealed that she almost canceled the show… but her energy made us forget that she was even sick. I drooled over her voice, stage presence, looks, and her gold shoes.
Long time no post–my apologies! Before I throw out a mini-mix later this week, I feel the need to share the dance floor wealth of this track. Though his first single “Get Silly” didn’t really strike my fancy with its bell-driven verses and chorus replacing their rhythm with out-of-place 80s breaks, I really dug his track “Wobble,” produced by… wait for it… Soulja Boy. The track is unlike any typical 95 BPM hip-hop song, and if you are a sucker for horns like I am, then wobble ‘n gobble this shit! But first, don’t you hate when you get your report card and…
